Taur Gaiter IV

Description

The Taur Opux Gaiter IV is a treeless saddle developed specifically for gaited horses and horses with significant shoulder movement. It is also particularly well suited to horses with more challenging saddle fit requirements, including very short-backed horses.

The saddle features a mono flap design as standard, including a sweat flap, along with generously sized ergonomic knee blocks for rider comfort and support. A stabilising fully flexible “one size” gullet system with short tree points allows the saddle to adapt comfortably to a wide variety of horse shapes.

The thoughtfully designed girthing system, featuring a V-system with a movable rear strap, helps stabilise the saddle even on round-bodied or uphill-built horses where saddles may otherwise tend to slide forward. Excellent pressure relief is provided through the permanently filled latex panels. The saddle is slightly built up at the front to also suit horses with withers, although it is not recommended for horses with very high withers.

The front of the saddle is specially cut to provide additional space for the shoulder blades, while the specially bevelled panels are designed to further improve rider comfort.

The Gaiter IV features a very comfortable latex seat with excellent rider positioning and is available in four different seat sizes.

Crafted in Europe using exceptionally high-quality leather, the Gaiter IV features double-stitched flaps made from premium genuine calfskin leather.

Adjustable and Interchangeable Knee Blocks

The Gaiter IV is equipped with adjustable and interchangeable knee blocks. Riders can choose which knee blocks they would like with the saddle (one pair included), and additional blocks can be purchased separately to adapt the saddle for different riding disciplines and/or riders.

The knee blocks can also be fine-adjusted sideways by approximately 2 cm to better suit individual leg position and rider preference.

• Size L — provides substantial support
• Size M — provides moderate support
• Size S — minimal support for riders who prefer greater freedom

The seat in the Gaiter IV features additional padding and a more built-up seat design. The flaps have an updated elegant design, and the panels include an additional layer of latex foam as standard. In all other aspects, the models share the same excellent comfort and fit.

The Taur Opux Gaiter IV is an exceptionally comfortable saddle suitable for gaited riding at all levels, dressage, trail riding, and leisure riding.
