Taur Gaiter II

Description

The Taur Opux Gaiter II is a treeless saddle developed specifically for gaited horses and horses with large shoulder movement. It is also particularly well suited to horses with more challenging saddle fit requirements, including very short-backed horses.

The saddle features a mono flap design as standard, including a sweat flap, along with generously sized ergonomic knee blocks for rider support and comfort. A stabilising fully flexible “one size” gullet system with short tree points allows the saddle to adapt to a wide variety of horse shapes.

The thoughtfully designed girthing system, featuring a V-system with a movable rear strap, helps stabilise the saddle even on round-bodied or uphill-built horses where saddles may otherwise tend to slide forward. Excellent pressure relief is provided through the latex-filled panels, while the front of the saddle is slightly built up to also suit horses with withers.

The saddle features a very comfortable latex seat and supports good rider positioning, with three different seat sizes available.

Crafted in Europe using exceptionally high-quality leather, the Gaiter II combines comfort, durability, and elegant Scandinavian design.

Colours

Two-tone design featuring dark brown saddle leather on the flaps (single leather construction) with your choice of brown shade for the knee blocks and seat. Soft and comfortable nappa leather is used on the seat and knee blocks, while durable saddle leather is used on the flaps.

The Taur Opux Gaiter II is an exceptionally comfortable saddle suitable for gaited riding at all levels, dressage, trail riding, and leisure riding.

Optional Accessories

Matching high-quality Taur Opux ErgoFlex anatomical dressage girths and Taur Opux Webbers (single strap stirrup leathers), adjustable between 50–70 cm, are available separately.

We recommend positioning the stirrup leathers underneath the saddle flap when using the Gaiter.
