Description

This model incorporates several carefully designed features that work together to provide exceptional shoulder freedom. Softly shaped saddle flaps combined with specially cut, bevelled Soft Latex panels allow additional space for the shoulder blades, making the saddle particularly suitable for horses with large shoulder movement and active biomechanics.

The saddle features a mono flap design as standard, including a sweat flap, along with generously sized ergonomic knee blocks for rider support and comfort. A stabilising fully flexible “one size” gullet system with short tree points allows the saddle to adapt to a wide variety of horse shapes.

The thoughtfully positioned girthing system, featuring a V-system with a movable rear strap, helps stabilise the saddle even on round-bodied or uphill-built horses where saddles may otherwise tend to slip forward. Pressure distribution is supported by permanently filled Soft Latex bevelled panels designed to provide excellent pressure relief and close contact between horse and rider.

The saddle is built up slightly at the front to suit horses with low to medium withers, although it is not recommended for horses with very high withers. As an option, the panels can also be ordered with an additional 1 cm of filling.

The semi-deep dressage seat is exceptionally comfortable and designed to support correct rider positioning. The seat is softly padded with latex and is available in seven different seat sizes ranging from 15” to 18”.

For riders wanting additional versatility, optional D-rings can be added to attach saddle bags, with the choice of front rings, rear rings, or both.

Crafted in Europe from exceptionally high-quality leather, the saddle features double-stitched soft nappa leather flaps for a luxurious feel and finish. Riders can choose between three elegant colours:

* Chocolate — deep dark chocolate brown
* Dark Havana — dark reddish brown
* Black

Custom stitching and piping colours are also available to personalise the saddle.

The Taur Opux Gaiter Dressage V1 is an exceptionally comfortable saddle suitable for gaited riding at all levels, dressage, trail riding, and leisure riding. It is particularly well suited to Icelandic horses, draft breeds, Iberian horses, Fjords, Friesians, ponies, and other horses with low to medium withers and broad or short-backed conformation.
